Hoodies and Sami boots

What are your two favorite things to wear?

This is important to my well-being.

I love hoodies. I have many in several different colours and I even have a couple sleeveless ones for warm summer days. The hoodies keep me emotionally and physically safe and I like especially the ones with pocket in front.

I also love my Sami boots from Topaz. They are both pretty and very practical in our cold winter climate. I have the Amundsen boots also they are taller boots for keeping the calf region warm as well.

It’s not about look as much as it’s about being more comfortable. I enjoy self-expression through fashion and cultural features, especially my Sami boots are symbols of ethnic origins.

So that’s my point today, what my favourite choices are in everyday life.

Thank you for visiting my blogs and have a wonderful Sunday ❤

Hoodies, jeans and my Arctic winter boots

What are your two favorite things to wear?

As I’ve likely said many times earlier I truly have a habit of wearing my favourite hoodies along with jeans and last but not least my new Arctic seal hide tall boots; combined they express my identity strongly and it’s also very comfortable using during our winter season. I’m interested in different traditional clothing and in particular traditional shoes of different ethnicities but being mostly cultures of Northern/Arctic indigenous groups. Kind of a side note I also like Arctic dog breeds like the Lapphund, Samoyed, Siberian husky and Alaskan Malamute.

My new winter season boots ❄️

What are your two favorite things to wear?

I just bought a pair of winter shoes yesterday and I really love wearing them outside. The only difficult things are getting them on and off my foot, they are tall and with lacing. They are named Amundsen and made by TOPAZ brand of Norway, I have pictures of them on this blog if curious what the rest of the appearance is. It’s not reindeer hide but seals, so not ideal for many vegans. They really keep you warm even in -25°C so they are absolutely awesome high boots for our winter temperatures and climate. And my favourite hoodies along with them 🤩👌

New Rock 🖤❤️🖤❤️

What are your two favorite things to wear?

I said in my other blog that I have several pairs of New Rock brand boots and I believe I had 4 pairs at one point several years ago when I had a habit of buying shoes. I wish I had kept my thin legs and still had very good heel-walking skills. And the lower limb surgery made me very sensitive to discomfort. But life is still certainly interesting and absolutely worth living from my point of view today 🤔❤️

Winter shoes, my favourite

What are your two favorite things to wear?

And not just any kind; but those deeply connected to my roots. It’s a special shoe used by Sámi people in the winter, especially when the snow is more dry. They are called nutukas/Sámi boots and they are made from reindeer hide.

I also like the mixing of traditional and modern clothing, I wear hoodies along with my nutukas.

edit much later: I know some Sámi people are against mixing cultures and modern clothing, and I think it’s more complex than just saying no to all non-traditional dress. And of course I wear my nutukas with hoodies, I nearly always wear hoodies. Æ e tross alt same æ også ❤
