Being an adult I’m still curious about mixing together different tastes, the mood effects of food and especially beverages. This is a story of my scientific experiment with energy drinks and hard cider plus a Sprite and Bacardi Breezer.

I like beverages of many kinds and I remember from childhood we mix together different soft drinks in one paper cup with a drinking straw. Me and my same-aged cousin would try different things and we had a lot of fun.

So fast forward to 2011 I was old enough to drink alcohol-containing drinks at 18 years. I was already using energy drinks on regular basis and unfortunately I’m predisposed to alcoholism through my family-history and severe mental illness of schizoaffective/schizophrenia along with my Asperger syndrome. (Actually my close relative is a poly-drug user with long-term addiction to several substances, mostly alcohol and sedating medications. He has had a lot of childhood adversity and childhood abuse and he is a triple Pisces in astrology themes).

I’m rambling in some ways but I get to the main point eventually. So I mixed an alcoholic type apple cider and an apple energy drinks and it was actually good taste to it. Then I made mistakes being tipsy and then actually drunk so I mix pear cider with lemon energy drinks. And I got quite strong nausea so I took a zofran and cyclizine (Marzine) medication and fell asleep.

Another time I mixed Sprite and water melon Bacardi Breezer alcopop together and similar effects on my well-being and mental health emerged quickly. So the Zofran plus Marzine combined again and it stopped my feelings of almost throwing up the strange beverages.

So this was kind of long text and I hope it was okay reading. Thank you for listening ❤
